Chris Evans as Captain America didn’t do so bad did he? The fans embraced the movie, if box office is an indication. It has been reported that he sought therapy in order to come to terms with accepting the superhero role  (that, and receiving a fat check, no doubt). Who knew that this handsome, witty actor, easily cast in many roles would have issues suiting up as Captain America.

He may not look it now, but Chris Evans was a slight, slender theatre nerdas a kid. “I grew up, half my life, in tights and tap shoes,” he recalls. “You gotta see pictures of me from birth to 18. I mean, it’s a sight. It was a bumpy road for me growing up, and I was a very skinny guy. I went to acting camp, you know? That’ll give you an idea of where I’m coming from.”

Chris grew up in the Boston suburb of Sudbury, Massachusetts, and attended Lincoln-Sudbury High School.

In 1999 when he graduated, Evans was chosen as the ‘Most Theatrical’ guy at school, starring in plays such as Shakespeare’s ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream.’
