After passing on the project the first time around, due to executives coming and going, NBC has picked up David E. Kelley’s Wonder Woman.
In a report by Vulture, Kelley was optimistic about the future of the project, and said NBC would be a good home for it: “I like to think of it as a smart script and I know [new NBC programming chief Bob Greenblatt] responds to smart material.” Ah, flattery! Thumbs up, Mr. Kelly.
Kelley also delivered the new series Harry’s Law, to NBC, which has already started a buzz before it’s Monday night premiere on the network.
Therefore, a go ahead for Wonder Woman must have been easier to get. The girl-powered super hero project is a reboot of the iconic D.C. comic. It will feature Wonder Woman (aka Diana Prince) as a vigilante, fighting crimes in L.A. sounds good so far.
Kelley said this Wonder Woman would be “a real complex woman and not just a superhero.” She might even pants.
Wait! Pants? Now, we’re afraid.
Pants, as in Hillary Clinton’s, or hot pants, as in Megan Fox in Transformers? Oops, Megan was not too crazy about the role in the past. Damn!
