How much can you pack into a short film? For the captivating WITHOUT YOUR LOVE, writers/directors Adrian and Diana Parks, put a lifetime of love, laughter and regrets in a brisk 15 minutes.
After 10 years apart, two ex-lovers confront the traumatic incidents that led to their breakup and the complex feelings that keep bringing them together. The film dances across time jumps, with each lover having different memories and perspectives that eventually converge on a truth. The dialog is realistic and sophisticated, the performances sincere – no surprise as Adrian and Diana are a real life married couple. The film is also beautifully shot from scene to scene, flashback to flashback.
Diana and Adrian are a writing and directing team based in Toronto, Canada.
Adrian Parks is an award winning actor, writer and director. He was the recipient of a Canadian Comedy Award for the short film “Surelock”, and he was the executive producer and lead actor in the digital series “Headshots”, which was an official selection of the Rio, Bilbao, Sicily, Oakville, Portland and Miami Web Series Festivals. He made his feature film debut as a leading actor in “Bloodslinger”, currently streaming on TUBI, and he received a best actor nomination for his role as Marshall Lloyd in “Twilight Ride”, currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
Diana Parks is a Latina-Canadian Drama teacher and has directed eight award-winning theatre productions. Diana’s work as a theatre director has earned her and her students numerous awards at The National Theatre Drama School Festival and the Canadian Improv Games.
