The feud is officially over between Ryan O’Neal and his daughter Tatum. It was publicly sealed with a kiss at the premiere of THE RUNAWAYS in Los Angeles. The two simply closed their eyes and locked lips. “Ick” is a word that comes to mind but I will be nice and let, “Ahh, how sweet that the two could mend their broken relationship” take front seat in my brain. OK, maybe I won’t. I mean, does anyone remember when Ryan tried to pick Tatum up at Farrah Fawcett’s funeral? Tatum had to remind him that she wasn’t just another bimbo, that she was his little girl.
I liken this kiss to when I saw Angelina Jolie mack with her brother James Haven on the red carpet at the Oscars. Thankfully there wasn’t any tongue from what I saw but it was just one of those moments that seems to incredulously last for days and you’re wondering, “When are they gonna come up for air?” Tatum says it feels weird reconnecting with Dad but she thinks it’s a good thing.
