On the heels of a UK travel agency marketing a controversial memorial cruise marking the 100th anniversary of the ill-fated Titanic, an American company is also offering a Titanic centennial cruise. Based in North Carolina the Willtiger Corporation is hosting the “Voyages! Titanic 2012” cruise on the 682-passenger Azamara Journey. Royal Caribbean’s Azamara Club operates the ship, setting sail from Boston on April 9, 2012, lasting 9 nights. In addition, the cruise liner is the only ship to “receive a live video feed from a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV). Now, that’s bang for your buck.
The company says guests will have the opportunity to “immerse themselves in the history and experience of Titanic.”
Experience? We hope it’s not the entire experience.
