Don’t hold back Sigourney! The Sci-Fi goddess believes no boobs = no Oscar

James Cameron fav Sigourney Weaver thinks she knows exactly why her true blue pal didn’t win Best Director or Best Picture with AVATAR.  The co-star of the film tells the Brazilian website Folha Online “Jim didn’t have breasts and I think that was the reason.”   True this was a big year with the first female to take home an Oscar and most say it was about time – and a lot of those saying so are women, Sigourney.  Sounds like someone wants another role out of Cameron to me.  I mean remember Weaver as Ripley in the “Alien” films, one of which Jim directed.  Not too many would denounce their boobies for a role in a Hollywood blockbuster, but Ripley would.  Grrrr – she’s a maniac!  Weaver goes on to says in the old days Kathryn Bigelow and her film THE HURT LOCKER normally wouldn’t have grabbed the gold.  She laments that “today it’s fashionable to give the Oscar to a small movie that nobody saw.”  Ouch!
