Once upon a time, when “Googlers” Googled hot actress Shailene Woodley, they only discovered her feats of acting; which made her the cream of the new Hollywood crop.
These feats included being Amy Juergens in the ABC series “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” her kick-ass performance as Alexandra King, the brutally honest daughter of George Clooney in the critically acclaimed “The Descendants.”
But, after her star ascended because of “The Descendants,” Googlers discovered something else she was known for besides her stellar acting:
Walking barefoot down a red carpet.
Yes, at the 2012 “Independent Spirit Awards,” Ms. Woodley handed her pumps to her publicist and went barefoot; proud to “pump up the toe-jam.” From that day on, Googlers will find “Shailene Woodley feet.” Then again, there’s worse things for the “new Hollywood” to be known for (i.e., never being nominated for any award—or going barefoot because they barfed their liquid lunch/dinner/breakfast on their pumps).
But now, Ms. Woodley’s feet are taking a back seat. Hollywood is buzzing about her new role. Yes! it’s confirmed that she will play Mary Jane Watson in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and will possibly come back to the role in the third installment of this rebooted franchise as well.
In addition she stays signed, sealed and on her way to artistically deliver the part of Beatrice “Tris” Prior in “Divergent;” Summit/Lionsgate’s adaptation of Veronica Roth’s “YA” novel. “YA” in Hollywood is quickly meaning “Yet Another…;” as in yet another young adult film (“Hunger Games,” “Twilight” etc.); which is another way of saying, “As long as the audience and money is there, yet another YA film will be ‘there’ too.”
This hot actress further proves her hotness—and power–by “Divergent’s” Director, Neil Burger, and the film’s studio have agreed to look for an actor who has the “right chemistry” with Shailene. The potential chemists include hot actors Lucas Till, Brenton Thwaites, Luke Bracey and Jack Reynor.
Yeah, nothing like a studio spending lots of $$$$$$ finding someone “the right guy.”
Perhaps Summit can find the “right guy” for Kevin “Voice-of-Elmo” Cash.
