While her face has been popping up in bit (and not so bit) parts for nearly seven years, London born Imogen Poots (28 Days Later, V for Vendetta) has been much more recognized in the UK scene than Hollywood. We have the feeling that’s about to change.
She is currently co-starring in “Filth” an adaptation of the third novel from Scottish author Irvine Welsh who also wrote Trainspotting. Filming all over Glasgow, Scotland with Jamie Bell and James McAvoy is not a bad way to get your mug recognized in Tinseltown. Especially a mug that reminds me of Rebecca Gayheart back in the Noxema days.
And that she has done. Just named the new face of Marni for H&M, an advertising campaign directed by none other than Sofia Coppola, we can expect to see that smile soon on billboards a plenty.
“I never personalize anything because I think that can be dangerous” – Imogen Poots
Starring with Penn Badgley, Imogen can next be seen in the rock bio pic “Greetings From Jeff Buckley.”
