More Chelsea Handler humor is coming our way. Entertainment Weekly reports that the pilot for Handler’s comedy series Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea, has been picked up by NBC.
Titled after her book by the same name, the series will be based off her popular memoirs. But no face time for Handler on the show, as she will be working behind the camera, as executive producer. For a face-to-face snappy wisdom rolling of her sharp tongue we can still watch her on “Chelsea Lately” on E!
The Vodka series will focus on a woman in her twenties, finding its stories from Handler’s three best-selling memoirs: “My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands,” “Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea,” and “ Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang.”
“The show will be mined from my books and allow me the creative control to put a younger actress in the situations I found myself in at 26, while I sit back, laugh, and not get arrested,” Handler told EW.
As for her love life, all these hot rumors about Handler partying with rapper 50 Cent since they met at a bar in L.A. during her friend’s birthday party, well, we just have to wait and see what comes next.
