Michael Douglas gets back to work

Michael Douglas is already talking shop after his cancer treatment. With an 80% cure rate, the 66-year-old actor tells told Hollywood Reporter he is ready to work and has accepted to play non other than Liberace in a new film directed by Steven Soderbergh, set to start production in May or June 2011.

The role will require special prosthetic work as well as musical training and Douglas will prepare for the role by reviewing taped performances of the legendary pianist and showman. “I’m thinking; I’m a blank slate. Everything shows me he was a lovely man; I just want to reconfirm that.” He told the reporter.
