In the January 2011 issue of GQ magazine, Winona Ryder dishes the dirt on Mel Gibson, and claims to know about the not-so pleasant side to the troubled actor for years.
The actress recalls an incident about the actor: “I remember, like, fifteen years ago, I was at one of those big Hollywood parties. And he was really drunk. I was with my friend, who’s gay. He made a really horrible gay joke. And somehow it came up that I was Jewish. He said something about ‘oven dodgers,’ but I didn’t get it. I’d never heard that before. It was just this weird, weird moment. I was like, ‘He’s anti-Semitic and he’s homophobic.’ No one believed me!”
Winona (unlike Mel) is back in the spotlight, thanks to her film work again and not some ugly scandal. She delivers the goods, utilizing everything for her juicy role as a former ingénue in Darren Aronofsky’s “Black Swan,” a film that some say is a disturbingly-artistic head trip and may either end up as Aronofsky’s best film to date, or be exactly the opposite and be dubbed the worst studio-release exploitation film since “Showgirls.” No matter what, the movie going audience will vote in the best way they know; their wallets.
In other Mel Gibson news, the actor will now get to see his daughter (by Oksana) more than he has been able to do recently. Reported by TMZ, a decision by Judge Scott Gordon modified the existing custody agreement late Thursday giving the actor more time with daughter Lucia. However, the amount of time Mel can see her is not a dramatic increase, and the specified hours are per week (not per day). But tmz sources also hint that those hours amount to a little more than one day per week.
