Somewhere between directing a new movie “W.E.” and opening her Hard Candy Fitness gym in Mexico city, Madonna has been thinking ahead, as she always does. She never really went anywhere nor talked about a retirement. Therefore we can’t call this a comeback. But a big Madonna style event may be on its way. According to a report by News of The World, the pop icon seems to be interested in embarking on a tour, with non other than TV’s biggest music sensation, the cast of “Glee.”
Madonna is allegedly impressed by Jane Lynch and the Gleeks tribute episode when they “The Power of Madonna” where a number of her big hits were covered by the actors.
“Madonna wants to break records and make her career bigger than ever,” a source told NTW. “And because the Glee episode featuring her music was such a hit, there are plans for the cast to appear. She is in amazing shape for her age but this could be her last big world tour she does for a while as she wants to concentrate on business ventures.”
Before her recent directorial kick, Madonna hit the road in Sticky & Sweet tour in 2008-09). Grossing a total of $408 million, it was called the second highest grossing tour of all time, as well as the highest grossing tour by a solo artist. Yep, that would be Madonna.
