It was kinky Thursday in New York, as fans of Fifty Shades of Grey lined up the streets for the screening of the highly anticipated movie, and to get close to its stars Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, and author E.L. James.
The onscreen duo looked very glamorous hitting the carpet in a chilly New York weather while keeping with the black & white feel of the S&M scene.
Also on hand were author E.L. James and the film’s director Sam Taylor-Johnson, who knows a thing or two about making solid movies. Have you seen Nowhere Boy, directed by Sam, and starring a young Aaron Taylor-Johnson (now her husband)? You should. Let’s just say, Dakota, Jamie and the film were in capable hands.
In case you’ve been hiding under a rock, or have been covering your eyes and ears for quite a long time, Fifty Shades of Grey (based on the bestselling novel) follows a literature student (Dakota Johnson) who begins a naughty affair with a controlling businessman (Jamie Dornan) whose sexual desires walk the line between pain and pleasure.
So far the superfans lucky enough to see the movie, on Friday, have great things to say about the cinematic treatment of the sexy novel, from chemistry and translating to the film the things that made the book a hit. Jamie and Dakota are “looking hot onscreen,” one fan reports, and praises go to the filmmakers for staying true to the book.
