Harrison Ford appears at Comic-Con in handcuffs

A surprise appearance by Harrison Ford in handcuffs got a big buzz at this year’s Comic-Con. According to an AP report, Ford (68) was led out in restraints by security guards to promote his upcoming film Cowboys And Aliens. He was joined at the publicity event by co-stars Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde and Sam Rockwell, as well as the film’s director Jon Favreau, who explained what he aimed to achieve with the project.

This was the first visit by Ford (68) to the annual event during which he received a standing ovation from the 6,000 fans excited to see their ‘Star Wars,’ and ‘Indiana Jones’ hero.

Moved by the big reaction of visitors, Ford humbly stated: “I just wanted to make a living as an actor, I didn’t know about this.”

He went on to explain about the new movie:
“The take was make a by-the-book Western right down the middle… and mix it with the type of sci-fi movie I grew up with, before they had CG when it was verging on horror,” he said. “Then just use CGI to do what they couldn’t do back then.”

Cowboys And Aliens is due for release in the US next July.
