Here comes the teaser trailer for Foxcatcher, the new film from Moneyball director Bennett Miller.
The poster for the film featuring Channing Tatum, front and center, was reveled just a few days ago. Now, equally intriguing is the intense, mysterious trailer.
This biographical crime-drama is based on the true story of Mark Schultz, a driven Olympic wrestler whose relationship with a paranoid sponsor, John du Pont led to unhealthy, fatal circumstances.
The film will not hit U.S. screens until November 14, but Sony Pics must have Oscar gold in mind, by giving the industry and fans an early glimpse into what’s to come, hoping for nods during awards season.
The clips show Channing Tatum and Steve Carell in ways never seen before, accented nose and ears, the magic of Hollywood make up.
Foxcatcher premiered in Cannes in May of this year, garnering critical praise. Carell’s portrayal of the schizophrenic millionaire, du Pont who sponsors Schultz (Tatum) had the most buzz.
Mark Rufallo plays Schultz’s brother. Sienna Miller also stars as Nancy Schultz.
