Peter Facinelli has had quite the interesting career path. I remember him most as the smart-mouthed cool guy who says, “Who’s gonna want you now, Aman-da” in Can’t Hardly Wait (1998). Who could forget the legendary Mike Dexter?
Since then, Facinelli has gone on to do some incredible roles in shows like ‘Six Feet Under’, ‘Damages’ and ‘Nurse Jackie’ and I particularly remember him playing some cards in ‘Celebrity Poker Showdown’. Yet, the biggest role to really make Facinelli stand out, has been the one that barely showcased his acting abilities, a Cullen brother in the Twilight saga.
While we know that it’s our “tween” generation that shapes everything from trend to consumerism as a whole, is it sad that Facinelli didn’t get the credit he deserved until he was a vampire?
I also have to wonder if the timing is at all coincidental that a divorce with long time wife Jennie Garth (90210) comes now when he is finally the bigger star? After eleven years of marriage, it is a bit surprising to see the two split.
As for Facinelli, we look forward to what he can bring to the table (not poker), be it a small role or starring.
