EX-IDOLS Pair up for a 17 city tour

Doesn’t it make sense if you are the top “American Idol” winner that you would be getting the most media attention and industry deals?  Well history shows the runner-up often times steps ahead and calls the shots.  Case in point….Season one winner Ruben Studdard is pairing up with Clay Aiken for an oldies but goodies tour.  The music genre slants toward the release of Clay’s new album which he says has a Johnny Mathis feel to it. Standard classics such as “Moon River,” “Mack the Knife” and “Misty” will be on Aiken’s new CD and will be featured in the upcoming tour.  I am sure Ruben would rather be singing something other than old Dean Martin songs but hey, a paycheck is a paycheck.  The two will be playing 17 cities beginning July 23rd in North Carolina wrapping August 14th in Mississippi.  Aiken’s album swings into stores June 1st.
