Eccentric Hollywood rebel, multi talented (actor, director, photographer) Dennis Hopper, whose turbulent career included memorable roles, like the one opposite James Dean in “Rebel Without a Cause,” and as a filmmaker, a surprise Hollywood hit with “Easy Rider” plus portraying unforgettable characters in films such as “Blue Velvet,” and “Appocalypse Now” has died. He was 74. Hopper died Saturday at his home in the Los Angeles beach community of Venice, CA. Hopper’s manager announced in October 2009 that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
