Portugal captain, and the world’s most expensive soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo (25), announced on Sunday he is now the father to a new baby boy with a mystery (American) woman. “It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy,” typed the Portuguese sports sensation on his Facebook page.
He adds: “As agreed with the baby’s mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship.” And that’s all the 411 he will spill on the matter asking everyone to respect the privacy of the new baby and his own “at least on issues as personal as these.” Well, we think he’s done a pretty good job at keeping it private until now. The Real Madrid forward, captained Portugal during their World Cup campaign in South Africa, which came down to a 1-0 defeat to neighbors Spain in the second round last Tuesday. Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid from Manchester United for a record fee of 80 million pounds ($121.2 million) last year, played in all four of Portugal’s World Cup matches, scoring one goal. Thank god he is fast on his pricey feet because as a single father he will do lots of chasing, after the little one. We congratulate Cristiano and secretly wish he was our dad too.
