As a part of their 2011 Chaplin Fest, The William S. Hart Park and Museum (along with the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society) celebrates the 75th anniversary of Charlie Chaplin’s “Modern Times” in Hart Park. Trivia: It was there on the Sierra Highway by Vasquez Rocks, in the Santa Clarita Valley where Chaplin filmed the final scene (pictured below) during summer 1935. It was the last major silent film ever produced. There will be additional screenings of Chaplin films (check schedule), a rare and exclusive display of displays of Chaplin’s prop and costumes, and access to the Chaplin vendor room!
