By: Ben Scuglia — Television icon Carol Burnett has been tapped for a juicy featured role on the upcoming season of red-hot Fox musical-comedy “Glee.” She’ll play the mother of glee-fully nasty Sue Sylvester who, ahem, was a Nazi hunter. Yeah, that’s right—Carol Burnett: Nazi Hunter.
How can you resist…? Mike Ausiello of EW.com says the episode will likely air during the October-November sweeps period. In other “Glee” news, studly Broadway actor Cheyenne Jackson has nabbed a recurring role. And none other than Paul McCartney has lobbied producers to have his music included in the show. Before the second-season premieres, mark your calendars for August 29: That’s when “Glee” cast and crew will find out how many of their whopping 19 Emmy nominations will translate to a win.
