You can keep looking but when it comes to an additional sequel the ax is falling for good on the next “Friday the 13th.” Jason, the hockey masked killer, is being put to rest after last year’s rebirth of the horror franchise. Producer Brad Fuller tweeted that part-two which was slated for release later this year is “dead.” The film that was set to begin production in August was to be shot in 3D and mark the return of Derek Mears as the infamous killer. Fuller is disappointed by the news and says it wasn’t his decision. The producer wants fans to know he would stop everything to make it happen today if he got the green light but right now he’s is getting nothing but U-turn signals. Many are left scratching their gore loving heads as to why the film is dead in the water. Last year’s pic cost about $19 million to make and it scared up $91 million worldwide. For all you slasher fans, it looks like you might have to cozy up to another familiar, yet unattractive face. Freddy Krueger is clawing his way back to the big screen on April 30th for another horrific remake – “A Nightmare on Elm Street.”
