Don’t call it a comeback. With dedicated fans worldwide, and a look and sound that’s all her own, Swedish pop sensation, ROBYN must know her place in today’s music, since in 2009 she announced her plans to release new materials in upcoming new albums – yes, plural.
The tripleheader release of her albums called “Body talk,” was quite a statement, proving that this “Robyn” can fly. Following a promising entry since “Body Talk pt. 1” is the release of “Body Talk pt.2” this time with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Roksopp, on deck. As its first single “Hang with me” is a great choice, establishing the latest volume of her trilogy as a stand-alone collection, including the melodic finish “indestructible” – indeed.
What I love about this album is that it keeps its focus and structure, but manages to have a wider appeal, the kind musicians dream of having in order to please the slight differences in taste found in their fans across each continent.
Look out for the now highly anticipated “Body Talk pt. 3” scheduled for a near Valentine’s Day release. The ambitious blonde can also be followed twitting her thoughts, and posting on Facebook – quite entertaining in that department too.
