Academy Award contenders spent an afternoon dishing and dining at the annual Oscar nominees luncheon in Beverly Hills, California Monday.  Before partaking in menu items such as sesame seared ahi tuna, dill potato filled with caviar and chilled Mediterranean shrimp, nominees shared their thoughts about their Oscar experience thus far. Newcomer Gaby Sidibe, nominated for her starring role in “Precious,” is enjoying the acting profession and doesn’t want it to end. Gaby says acting fell in her lap and she is surprised at how much she enjoys it.  Sidibe admits her life could have used a little boost and acting has given her days the flavor she’s been hungry for.  Her foray into Hollywood happened in a big way and she is ready for it all – dramas, comedy, period pieces – you name it! The Oscar Nominees Luncheon was once again held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where it has taken place for the last 29 years.   Other Oscar nominees in attendance included Meryl Streep, star of “Julie and Julia,” Gerorge Clooney nominated for his role in “Up in the Air” and Morgan Freeman who is up for Best Actor in “Invictus.”   The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will take place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood Sunday, March 7th.
