Event: An evening behind the scenes of LE MANS

Once a year, The Friends of Steve McQueen pull out all stops during their fundraising car show at the Boys Republic in Chino Hills, California.

Organized by the Porsche 356 Club, the event originally started in 2008 raising $15,000 for the school which actor Steve McQueen attended during his youth.

This year’s event titled: AN EVENING BEHIND THE SCENES OF LE MANS will be held on FRIDAY, JUNE 3, 2011 at 8:00 PM, hosted by MATT STONE (senior editor Motor Trend & at Motor Trend Classic) as the Master of Ceremonies, with other celebrity guests, including Chad McQueen, race car legend Vic Elford, McQueen co-star and racecar enthusiast Hal Hamilton (“Le Mans”), Michael Keyser, and Jonathan Williams.

Screening on that evening will be the featurette Le Mans: The Race, The Movie introduced by the film’s Emmy ward-winning writer/producer JOHN KLAWITTER. ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT BOYS REPUBLIC
